Daily Nihongo is a free daily Japanese language learning game designed to help students and enthusiasts improve their kanji recognition and vocabulary skills through engaging, bite-sized challenges.

How It Works

Every day, Daily Nihongo presents a fresh set of 10 questions across four different game modes:

• Kanji Meaning — Match kanji characters to their English meanings
• Kanji Reading — Identify the correct hiragana reading for each kanji
• Vocabulary — Learn common Japanese words and their definitions
• Mixed Challenge — A combination of all question types for comprehensive practice

Daily Challenge Format

Like popular daily word games, Daily Nihongo resets at midnight each day with new questions. Everyone around the world receives the same questions on any given day, making it easy to compare your results with friends and fellow learners. Your score is based on accuracy, speed, and answer streaks.

Track Your Progress

Daily Nihongo automatically saves your personal bests for each game mode, including your highest score, fastest completion time, and best accuracy percentage. Build your daily streak by playing consistently!

JLPT Levels

Our kanji and vocabulary database primarily covers JLPT N5 and N4 level content, making it perfect for beginners and intermediate learners. We regularly update our question bank to provide fresh learning opportunities.
